"Please, five more minutes": Kaput Newsletter #5
Hello.
Thanks for reading Kaput – Magazin für Insolvenz & Pop!
So, what’s going on in the kaput headquarters, you wonder?
A lot. We are right now traveling in the USA (more about this next week, when we are back and have the time and distance to really reflect about all the impressions of the last weeks over here) for some research, interviews, concerts, club nights and last but not least the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville.
So far we met Boshra al Saadi who talked to us about her awesome new album coming out in the fall – joined by nobody less than Bandcamp co-founder Joe Holt.
We also attended just the other night the 70th birthday party of New York dj legend Nicky Siano – whom we will hopefully meet later this week for a Russian Sauna Spa Day and interview.
We also met Dave Sumner aka Function on the waterfront of Williamsburg to talk about the long techno history of New York City from Limelight to Basement.
Besides that Lennart Brauwers is setting up as we speak the next Kaput Live Podcast at the OFF Bar (Luxemburger Str. 46, 50674 Köln) in the heart of Cologne for the 9th of April. Please join us if free. More infos about Off Bar.
And now we wish you fun with the kaput contributions of the last weeks. Enjoy.
